President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister of the the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Philip Davis headline the second edition of the Global Renewables Summit (GRS25), taking place on 22–23 September in New York alongside the UN General Assembly and Climate Week NYC.

The Summit opened with the High-Level Session on Renewable Energy Abundance, featuring a powerful lineup of governments, businesses, and international organisations leading the race to renewable energy abundance.

Taking place from November 10–21, 2025, in Belém, BrazilCOP30 will bring together global leaders to confront urgent climate challenges, advance the implementation of the Paris Agreement, and align businesses, civil society and government in coordinated, collaborative action.

As host country and a global renewable powerhouse, Brazil is uniquely positioned to drive the energy transition, both locally and internationally.

In anticipation of COP30, GRA convened leading voices from Brazil’s renewable energy industry and international investors to launch a bold new platform that includes:

  • The Brazilian Renewable Energy Mobilisation Committee
  • The COP30 Coalition
  • The COP30 Letter outlining seven key policy actions

This coordinated effort seeks to align corporate ambition, policy action, and public engagement, unifying a private sector voice committed to ambitious, actionable outcomes at COP30.

GRA at COP29

At COP29, GRA  partnered with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)  and our global members to co-host the Global Renewables Hub – a dedicated space for forward-thinking events, bilateral meetings, and impactful dialogues.

Building on the momentum from COP28, where the world set the ambitious global target to triple renewable energy by 2030, this hub drove the 3xRenewables agenda to secure ambitious, specific and actionable renewable targets in the national climate plans (NDCs). With over 200 organisations worldwide signing onto our NDC call, we rallied for more supporters to amplify this critical movement.

Time 4 Action: Corporate Sourcing

At ‘Time 4 Action: Corporate Sourcing’, high-level decision makers and industry leaders from the APAC region met to discuss the urgent need for accelerating renewable energy adoption. The focus was on addressing challenges and opportunities of corporate clean energy procurement and hourly matching.

Global Renewables Summit 2024

The Global Renewables Summit was the first-ever high-level public-private summit to discuss the progress, opportunities, and challenges of tripling renewable energy globally by 2030. With heads of states, private sector leaders and representatives from civil society, the summit promised real action on the global 3xRenewables target

The Lisbon Future Dialogue 2025 unites leaders from politics, energy, media, tech, and youth to tackle urgent global challenges and accelerate the energy transition. In a time of climate instability and rapid tech shifts, this two-day event during 25-27 June 2025,  sparks bold conversations on AI, climate justice, energy geopolitics, misinformation, and more.

It’s more than a dialogue—it’s a catalyst for global collaboration, innovation, and radical optimism toward a just, sustainable, and tech-responsible future.
