The Global Renewables Alliance unites six leading global industry associations, representing the key renewable energy technologies essential for achieving net zero. Our members—spanning wind, solar, hydropower, green hydrogen, long-duration energy storage, and geothermal—bring deep industry expertise and insights to support our shared mission.

Together, they strengthen our collective voice, driving forward the global renewables agenda and advocating for the rapid expansion of clean energy solutions worldwide.

The Global Wind Energy Council is helping the world reach Net Zero by working with governments, associations and communities to deploy vast amounts of clean, reliable wind energy.

Global Solar Council is the voice of the world’s solar energy industry on the global stage, a non-profit body based in Washington D.C. and representing national, regional and international associations as well as leading solar sector corporations.

GH2 promotes the sustainable production and use of green hydrogen – mitigating climate change and delivering reliable clean energy.

The Long Duration Energy Storage Council is a global nonprofit advancing decarbonization by facilitating the accelerated deployment of long-duration energy storage. The executive-led organization convenes members, publishes research, and serves as an advocate to advance the goals and objectives of the energy companies, equipment manufacturers, financial institutions, and technology innovators the LDES Council represents. 

The International Hydropower Association (IHA) is a non-profit membership organisation committed to sustainable hydropower. Our mission is to advance sustainable hydropower by building and sharing knowledge on its role in renewable energy systems, responsible freshwater management and climate change solutions. We achieve this through monitoring the hydropower sector, building an open, innovative and trusted platform for knowledge, and advancing strategies that strengthen performance.

The International Geothermal Association works for the promotion and worldwide deployment of geothermal energy technology and advocates a future energy system based on renewable energy. The IGA has consultative status to the UN and special observer status to the Green Climate Fund.
