Without well-functioning, robust, diverse and cost-efficient industrial supply chains, the energy transition will not materialize. Renewable energy supply chains are highly globalised, which necessitates enhanced collaboration to maintain healthy competition, the most competitive cost of energy to the consumer and the highest levels of deployment. As demand for these technologies grows, key challenges include securing critical minerals, scaling manufacturing, and developing a skilled workforce, each presenting opportunities for investment and employment. Policymakers must innovate in policy and business models to drive progress and investment at local, national, regional and global level. During this roundtable, participants will discuss recommendations to deliver resilient and diverse clean energy technology supply chains.
