To triple renewable power capacity by 2030, USD 10 trillion in cumulative investment is required, with annual investments rising to USD 1.3 trillion, compared to 486 billion in 2022. Additionally, power grid investments must increase to USD 605 billion annually. Key challenges include scaling investments, directing funds to emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs), and reducing financing costs in these regions. During this roundtable, participants will discuss principles and recommendations that GRA has developed for the private sector, financiers, and governments on how to address these financing challenges, and become critical mobilizers of finance to meet the CO28 pledge goals.
