27 May 2026, Brasília, Brazil – The Global Renewables Alliance and leading Brazilian renewable energy associations and companies, has presented a joint letter to Brazil’s prospective presidential candidates, calling for the energy transition to become a central pillar of the country’s development strategy.
Key priorities include:
Natália Oliveira, Regional Lead for Latin America at GRA noted: “This letter brings together concrete priorities and sends a clear message on the importance of embedding the energy transition into Brazil’s long-term development agenda through dialogue, predictability and long-term commitment.”
With more than 90% renewable electricity in its power mix, Brazil is uniquely positioned to become a global renewable energy leader.
